“I trained on both Pilates and GYROTONIC® machines and mat classes. I have had the opportunity to train with other instructors while on vacation, and never found an instructor that matched the instructional techniques and concern for my body as Kim.  Kim  is constantly taking advanced classes to keep herself current in GYROTONIC® and Pilates techniques. She is always seeking ways to improve herself and class instruction. She is very accommodating when scheduling classes that will fit my busy life. During classes, she is attentive to insure I have proper body technique. I have see great improvement in my body since I have been training with Kim. As I aged I found my body losing its flexibility and core strength. As I enter my 64th year I find that I am able to be active in activities such as swimming, sewing, walking, tennis and taking care of my grandchildren. Kim is a person that is concerned with my whole body, always suggesting exercises to do at home between classes and nutritional information on foods that will improve my health. I feel great and Kim is responsible for my sense of well being. Thank you Kim. I highly recommend Kim as a trainer in both Pilates and GYROTONIC®. She is a caring person and has a real concern for each individual client. If you would like any additional information please contact me at barden1@nullcox.net.”

- Pat Barden - trained with Kim for the past 7 years

“I have been a client of Kim Casinelli's for six years taking both pilates and GYROTONIC® classes from her on a weekly basis. Kim is a diligent and caring teacher who loves her disciplines. She spends a good deal of her time and energy in her continued training so as to be aware of the latest teaching techniques. She is gifted at communication and creative in her teaching style and pays real attention to her students. Kim wants everyone to love GYROTONIC® and pilates as much as she does – which is considerable."

- Jacqueline Johnson

“Kim Casinelli has been my Pilates trainer and GYROTONIC® teacher for 7 years. She has helped me in numerous ways. To begin with, we worked on getting my spine straighter since I have scoliosis. Not only is my spine straighter than it has been since I was 12, but I no longer have the beginning of a “dowager’s hump”. Kim has also helped to strengthen my left knee and hip in preparation for replacement surgeries. After those operations, she did the rehabilitation so that I now can walk without assistance. At this time, she is helping me prepare for the replacement surgery on my right knee. Not only is Kim very knowledgeable about both Pilates and GYROTONIC®, she continues to increase her knowledge by attending workshops to improve her skills. When she doesn’t know something, she researches until she has the information she needs. Kim is very kind, patient and gentle. She is fun to work with and has a sense of humor. I always feel that she is doing the best she can for her clients.”

- Carol Jancsi

“I can't begin to describe how GYROTONIC® has changed my life. Before I began training with Kim I wasn't even able to reach around to the back seat of the car. Something so simple in your daily life was always a struggle for me with the amount of tension I always carried in my shoulders. Kim and GYROTONIC® have given me flexiblity in my lower spine and has helped my body defy the ageing process. I feel better now than I have in my whole life. Kim is by far the most passionate teacher with the patience of ten! She is always finding new ways to help train our brains to move our bodies. The week after her updates with the training master are always creative . She never stops challenging me even if I'm having a lazy day. Always aware of our physical limitations and sore areas she never falters... Thank you Kim for all you do...”

- Debbie, age 49

“I'm 60 years old and still very active, training and participating in lots of sports. My GYROTONIC® work with Kim is always supportive of that activity and enhances it. The range of motion, added flexibility and the improved feeling of well being, enhances all i do. Kim is a gem and is a pleasure to work with. My hearty endorsement and encouragement to you to check Gyro and Kim out!”

“Kim is a great teacher who will teach you the right way to do things. Pilates has been incredible for me in helping me not only becoming more fit and strong but balanced and feeling healthier at a different level. GYROTONIC® has opened up a whole new world for me. It is a way of exercising that makes me feel graceful while freeing my body to participate and feel 'delicious'!”

- Kathleen Savino

“I am a client of Kim's in Pilates, and GYROTONIC® and have experienced excellent improvements in my posture, balance, flexibility and general overall feeling of well being. I feel that my overall improved physical ability under Kim's guidance will keep me active, positive and forever young in my retirement years. If I had to choose my favorite, it would be GYROTONIC®  exercises!   I love the feeling of being able to move my body painless. Thank you Kim.”

- Pat Barden

After doing GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® with Kim in San Diego for 2 years, she moved to Oregon, and I was very sorry to see her leave. She had really helped me to use my body in a way that I no longer experienced any of the back or joint pain that I had previously, and she did this in a very supportive, encouraging way.I knew I would miss her, but was then told by her that we could continue having sessions via Skype. For GYROKINESIS® , all I needed was a stool and a space. Being very unsophisticated technologically, I was skeptical. However, I have come to LOVE these sessions! and I love Skype! It is very much like sitting in front of each other. I do not feel that anything is lost in terms of our communication, and I love the convenience. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get and keep their body in shape, moving, and pain free.

- Susan Horowitz.,  M.D.

"I have been a Pilates client of Kim’s for over 10 years.  She has worked with me through many issues related to my hip.  And most recently, post therapy for hip replacement.  Kim is very knowledgeable in all aspects of the body and keeping you moving.  She is very sweet and personable to work with."

“Thank you for always fitting me into your busy schedule and especially for your kindness,”

Fondly, - Donna Borg

Dear Kim, You are the first person that got me to "drop my shoulders" and free up my poor aching neck (many have tried.) Although that was a great physical change it also produced a gentle and yet profound change in my "interior" as well... and for that I will always be grateful. Thank you! Breathe - yes - Breathe! When I remember to drop my shoulder blades down my back it feels so good! and my "new" neck feels so nice and long.. You also introduced me to the first form of exercise I truly enjoyed. All my life going to work out was a matter of "forcing" myself. I can honestly say, from the first time I worked out with you, I don't ever recall thinking "oh, I don't want to go to class today." Amazing. Thank You! You have been a wonderful instructor/teacher and your encouragement has always been so appreciated. and although Tom did not continue working out ...what I saw in the changes to his body after his helicopter accident were phenomenal. You truly have a gift!

- Mary Hildebrandt

Kim, you were the most thorough and focused pilates instructor I ever had.  My back is doing so much better and my hamstrings so much looser. Thanks for your diligence and training.

-My best, Burt Lustine

“Kim, you are a great teacher. Thank you for all that you have taught me about movement and breathing. Our time together for me wasn't just about exercise, it was also a time spent with a good friend sharing stories and venting sometimes. I am a much healthier person because of you.”

GYROTONIC® Methodology is an exceptional movement system. It teaches the student to find and understand the support for and functional relationship of the entire body. The body is then able to work as it is designed as a functional whole. This is in contrast to other exercise systems, which look at the body as separate with isolated parts, which work these parts individually. This is contrary to Nature’s ways . Health is only achieved through movement, and GYROTONIC® training helps to restore movement to this contracting culture. Its’ role in rehabilitation as well in general health is profound and must not be underestimated.”

- Dr. Jill Sanders,Doctor of Osteopath, New York City

“Our body reveals our character and the way in which we face the world. GYROTONIC® equipment provides tremendous possibilities to assist us in becoming conscious of our body’s structure, and its correlated limitations. We gently and gradually achieve a new internal equilibrium, breathe new life and emotions into the body, and gain flexibility and strength. When one reduces muscular and emotional tension, the naturalness and the spontaneity of movement will reveal itself.”

- Dr. Alessandro Vanucci, Specialist Neurology, Psychiatry, Homeopathy and Psychotherapy, Italy

“I had an opportunity to re-examine a patient who had undergone knee surgery in my clinic, and was utterly surprised to see how good the knee itself and the musculature of the leg were. The muscular function of the surgically repaired knee was superior to the other side, and the abraded defect of the articular cartilage healed, which shows how effective your training program really is. I am very impressed with the results obtained so far.”

- Dr. Jurgen Toft, M.D. Sports Medicine,Orthopedics Munich, Germany

“I believe that these coordinated movements have a beneficial prophylactic effect against low back weakness and pain, and that they can be successfully integrated into a physical rehabilitation program.”

- Dr. Frank Moore, M.D. Neurologist, Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, New York
